Can You Trust a Doctor with Your Skin?

Skin From A DoctorHow safe do you feel when you see your GP, and ask him about a skin condition that he may never have seen before?

Can you trust that your doctor is up to date on the real issues with particular chemicals in the medicines they prescribe, or are they just taking the word of the pharmaceutical companies?

I’ve been doing research for a series of articles about skin bleaching creams, and in particular prescription creams containing hydroquinone.

I’ve learned that FDA tests show that the use of these creams for more than a couple of weeks at a time can result in ochronosis, (severe discoloration and bruising of the skin), photo-sensitivity, (sensitivity to light and sunlight), and even nausea and hallucinations.

The tests even showed a dramatically increased risk of cancer in tests done on rodents, although this was not confirmed in tests on humans. The tests on humans were basically done to unknowing patients, in the many years since the cream was approved for use by the public.

The most common reason for patients to get prescribed this medication is as a treatment for vitiligo, but the side effects of hydroquinone containing creams have been known for years, and most European countries have banned the sale of any product containing this substance.

What makes it such a terrible misjudgement to prescribe this cream at all is not just the side effects, but the fact that there are non-prescription bleaching creams that use safer ingredients without anywhere near as many side effects, that do the job of bleaching the skin white to the safe level of effectiveness.

What To Use For Safe Skin Whitening

A cream containing arbutin, glycolic acid, kojic acid, sepiwhite FSH, or even simple ascorbic acid or vitamin C would be a better alternative for doctors to recommend to their patients.

You can check out the sidebar or click on the photo on this post for links to an effective product range that uses these chemicals: Tonique Skin Care.

The reason why things go wrong is that doctors are told by the pharmaceutical companies that they should prescribe the prescription cream, and the manufacturers of the over the counter medications don’t have the same power and access to the ear of doctors, even thought their products are safer and better.

It makes sense doesn’t it, that if a chemical is dangerous it will require a prescription, and that those medications approved for over the counter use will be safer?

Doctors need to keep this in mind, and take more time to study the benefits of using non-prescription remedies so as not to jump too quickly to prescribing a chemical which may be harmful, or even deadly such as hydroquinone.

Can You Bleach Your Dark Skin White?

good skinThere are perhaps millions of people all around the world who for whatever reason wish to have lighter skin, or even to change from black to white.

This isn’t just possible, it’s within the reach of almost anyone with an average household income. There are lots of cosmetic treatments and procedures which are too expensive for the average man or woman to afford, but not skin bleaching.

You do however have to be careful to choose the right product when buying an online product to be used at home.

There are many creams and lotions out there, and some of them are not safe, unlike the products promoted on this site.

The Tonique range of skin whitening creams only use the highest quality, safest and most effective chemicals, which have been used for years with no negative results to report.

The active ingredients are arbutin and glycolic acid, two safe, over the counter chemicals which work to de-pigment the skin gradually.

If you have completely dark brown, red or yellow skin, you will need to apply the cream to your entire body to get uniform, even results.

You will notice a change after the first day, but it takes a while before you turn completely white.

You can control how white you become by applying the cream less frequently. Over time, your skin will turn back to it’s original tone as new skin cells grow and replace the old ones.

By altering the frequency of times you apply the cream in a month, you can control how white you become, how quickly, and how white you stay over time.

It’s quite easy to buy these products, check out the package deals on the Tonique site by clicking on the photo link in the sidebar, or check out the contact page for more details.

Other Skin Bleaching Products And Treatments

I mentioned earlier in this post that you have to be careful to choose the right brand, and to not just go after the best price.

There’s a very good reason for this, there are less reputable companies on the online market who will sell you creams that either don’t work, or that have terrible side effects.

For example, there were some dodgy sites originating in Africa selling skin bleaching products that contained mercury, which is obviously very poisonous.

Even if you go and see a doctor, you might get prescribed a cream containing hydroquinone, which is very effective at bleaching, but which has terrible side effects such as thickening of the skin, bruising, nausea, and perhaps even cancer.

There are ridiculous claims made by other companies who say that you can whiten your skin by swallowing pills or taking injections.

Other companies use very ineffective household chemicals like lemon juice which may have a very mild effect, but not at all enough to fork over good money for.

The Tonique brand is the only one you should trust, as most of the other brands are either not safe, not effective, or don’t have the right support and instructions.

Click on the photo in the sidebar, or use the email link to open up a new message asking for more information, or look at the other contact options on the contact page, and don’t worry, you will get the results you’re looking for from this trusted brand that has been around for years.
